Welcome

Thank you for visiting.

Our church family is made up of people from Alexander, Iredell, Catawba, Wilkes, and Caldwell counties in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.  We’re a group of ordinary people who come from really diverse backgrounds, but we share a common desire to see the kingdom of God released in power… in and through our lives.

The New Testament church at Antioch, Syria is the model for our approach to church life and government (Acts 11:19-29; 13:1-2), and it provides a picture of what we believe the Lord would have us pursue as our expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).

As we look to the example of the Antioch church, we realize that churches thrive best under the oversight of a group of dedicated, godly leaders, not a sole individual. We are therefore committed to developing church leaders who come from diverse social and personal backgrounds, who are gifted with teaching abilities and prophetic insight, and who can consistently follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Like these early Christians, we seek to provide an environment in which the Lord is moving in supernatural ways, people are turning to Him, and lives are being changed.  Because we understand that prayer is the biblically prescribed method for cooperating with God to create this kind of environment, we have determined that seeking the Lord in prayer will play the primary role in everything that we do.

We believe that encouraging individual Christians to serve others with their spiritual gifts is the best way to meet ministry needs within the church body. Therefore, one of our highest priorities at New Life is to help people discover and use their gifts and talents.

We welcome all who are interested in joining us on this journey.
